My idea is to create a blog or website, to offer online services to people that need them. Let's say someone can't find a web designer for a project. He comes to me and i find someone to do the job. That's just an example. Other examples are: doing online research for a subject and sending the results to the client, or someone might need special service like an email once a week with the football games of the weekend and the TV channels that will show them respectively. I need to this because im WWF member and i want to donate money to them. Anything that the site makes will be donated to WWF and maybe to other organisations. Do you have any other ideas that i could do to raise funds? Can you tell me what to do?

You have a very noble cause there. But the niche you are trying to get into is a bis saturated already and competition is really stiff. Why not just create a site that would focus more on your intent? Like a support site for WWF or something like that?

What do you mean? A support site but how am i going to raise money? Could you give some ideas on how to attract people and what to sell??

I believe what your trying to create is an agency... first you have to find the high end clients... then you have to find the right people to connect them to ensure your high end clients come back to you...

In the film world it called finding representation... and that basically means that you have to get hooked up with somebody in a high place...

Best start looking for those high end people now... I would worry less about your website at this point and more about your social networking skills...

I Guess I should try and be a little more helpful with ideas... maybe you could start hanging around the contest section of this forum and the ever so popluar sitepoint marketplace and find those who are wasting thier hours entering contests...

Perhaps you could connect these people directly to clients... they should have no problem providing you with portfolio materials...

The only way your going to make money doing what you describe is to first train those who have a considerable amount of talent to stop working for free... this will in-turn ensure you make some money in the process as a broker... hope this helps...

If you want to raise money for the WWF, creating a new website from scratch, making it popular, getting decent ads and then handing over the small amount of advertising revenue is not the way to do it!
If your primary motivation is to provide funds for the WWF then just donate money to them directly and save yourself a whole lot of time - most websites don't even cover their costs.

I think the old-fashioned fundraising techniques are the best (such as community car washes, car boot sales), but you could do with finding a way to incorporate them into the digital world we live in.

Maybe by setting up a site like eBay, where 2nd hand goods are sold for funds, or maybe sponsorships for playing games on the site are done.

If you can think of something thats never been done (always the hardest part) you will do really well.

The service that you have in mind exists already in the form of freelance websites like the one on my signature.
There is nothing new there and this field is already saturated as someone already pointed out.
