Each of the Webmaster-Talk Marketplace forums display an iTrader rating in each members posts, right under the members avatar.
This rating represents the number of people who have had favorable dealings with the member. It is meant to show the trustworthiness of any particular member. You could compare the iTrader system to eBay's feedback system.
If you click the View link next to a members rating, the full iTrader record page is displayed. This shows you any comments people may have left along with the number of good, bad or neutral ratings the member has.
If a member has mostly negative ratings, then that is a warning that perhaps you shouldn't engage in any business transactions with them.
A lot of the ratings you see may be 0, meaning there is neither a negative nor a positive rating on the user. This may be because the user is new or they have an equal number of positive and negative ratings. In such cases you will need to be more cautious to make sure you aren't scammed.
Webmaster-Talk can't investigate each and every user, and can't be held accountable for deals gone bad. We offer this iTrader rating system as a guide. It should not be depended on fully -- you're common sense and caution should always be part of the equation as well.
After you have finished a deal with another member, please always leave feedback on their account. The system only works as long as everyone participates! If the other party doesn't leave you feedback, I suggest you send them a private message reminding them to do so.
