the best way is to have so many names that people come to you

set up a website listing all of the names you own

also - become active in a domain name forum

at a quick glance at your forum i think youve got good names - especially LiveFootball.tv - id love that one

for certain names, like the one above, it might be worth holding onto them for years til you get a good price

names which arent as good as that you have to work a bit harder of getting rid of. Personally, if theres a name you think thats good but you cant get rid of it, put up a small site and a logo or something. Get some traffic to it - domains are worth much more with traffic.

Also - one thing that works with is just by being a monkey!!
Monkey see monkey do - watch what names tend to sell in forums and then aquire similar names

Hello Laskos,
What really make names worth money is a few simple facts.

1. When you regsiter ( if possible ) you want to get the main domain ext. that are popular which is .com and .net ( unless you are pushing these names is other counties )

2. Popular words used for Internet Search's are also very important, watch what words are searched for on Lycos top 50 and you will register a geat name.

3. Also watch for name expire dates, you may just get lucky with a great name and traffic.

Sometimes you may not be able to get a .net with the name but it is still worth it if the name is popular. Example I own WebmasterStaff.com the name is worth several $100,000 - 1 million dollars. Why you ask ? Becasue the name has 2 of the most popular words used today on the Internet. I could not get .net but the name is still worth it.

Will I sell it, No... I will keep it for now.

Also you do not list the prices on your site.

Hi Lasko's..

I've seen you on other name forums.. and "cheers".. keep working @ it! '-)

Myself, I've had the best of success with simply doing concentrated email marketing direct too the industry my names serve/service. It takes a LOT of emails too get a buyer.. but just my experience.. it's been the best method for me, in regards to actual sales.

Best of success!

im sorry to burst your bubble but your lucky id webmasterstaff is worth more than the reg fee - im not trying to put you down

myself, laskos and wanda trade domains a lot and they will agree - there are names going 10 times better than that for $10.00

two good keywords together does not neccessarily make a good domain

also - i think youll always be better listing a price for a domain - at least ballpark figure unless the domain you own is realistically worth over $2500.00 and youd probably have to get a name like that from another reseller.

Hello,
I am just trying to help but I must say I have been doing this for 10 years and I have supported my entire Family from the Internet.

I have made upto $10,000 in one month from one website. You can take my advice anyway you want, but I do know what I am talking about.

WebmasterStaff.com had been appraised for $850,000, by a real domain appriaser.

im sorry but i have to strongly disagree - ill be blunt, i think your telling lies

someone who can make $10,000.00 a month from a website does not sell links for a full year for $1.50

domain appraisals are a waste of money - in all seriousness, who would buy WebmasterStaff.com for $850,000 - and if this mega rich person did buy it - what would the site be about, abviously webmaster related but what specifically

please drop by www.domainstate.com , www.namepros.com and www.dnforum.com and repeat what you posted here - youd be laughed out of the place, believe me

Well I did not come to this forum to be told I lie, the fact is I can prove I made $10,000 in a month from one website.

I have my advertising low for one reason and that is to help those that can't afford the high price advertising on the Internet.

I really do not think according to the forum rules that you should be talking about someone else. I have been in business on the Internet for 10 years and have made a huge amount of money.

I have also sold a website for $17,000 and I have a copy of the check to prove that.

Again I did not come here to down others, I read the terms and agreed to them. Just because you think it is not possible does not mean it is not possible.

People like me do make money on the Internet amd we will continue to make money because we give advice but we also listen and do not call people a lie just because we think it is not possible.

The forum Admin should remove your remarks!!!

Ok, I can not give all my secrets away but I will tell you that I will help in anyway I can.

As far as the site URL i can ot give that out as it is a private " Selected Members Only " website and it is against my contract with this client.

I can tell you that I sold the site which included 7 different mini sites inside the original site. I also sold the sites on a legal binding contract basis for $1,500 a month for 12 months.

I learned long ago on here that if someone is not interested in your product/service because of the high amount you are asking then try to setup payments for the product/service.

Lets keep things professional guys.

HarleyBabes, your original post could be helpful to some members.

The disagreement is on the value of webmasterstaff.com
I'll stay out of that one
