Ok, I bought a domain www.hillary clinnton.com. Never intended it to be a site just a froward to my other site. Now here is the question should I just put the c&D up on a page and leave it, or put up a Obama site I think it's a B.s C&D probably fake I'm going to show it to one of my professors and see if he thinks its worth it to stop the forwarding.

I'd be willing to bet it is NOT a hoax and ignoring a C&D from the likes of the Clinton camp can get you sued, big time. They don't take kindly to people using their names, not even variations.

If it was a C&D order I would abide by it, but it is a C&D letter. Therefore not binding in anyway. The way I see it is just a threat.

Yes, it's a threat, and one you'd best not ignore. If you think they won't go after you if you ignore the letter, you are sadly mistaken.

Look for a phone number on the C&D order and call them. A C&D is a letter, typically certified mail. Tell them you need to verify their association with this name, prove they are entitled to own it. Anyone besides Hillary herself would have trouble getting the name, her legal team could but no one else. In other words be sure it's her lawyer, if it is don't fight it give it up, it's not worth your time and energy plus you have no case to win unless your name is also Hillary Clinton otherwise this is an easy Bad Faith UDRP case.

Update had 3 professors look at it today (I go to law school). It's b.s. law firm letter head it was on is in no way connected with her in any way what so ever. (had my prof call) free legal representation kicks ***. Turn out it was a law clerk at their firm who sent it. He has now been canned. If it had been real and they would have nicely asked it would have been sold back to them for the 8.95 That I payed for it. Any way it's over now.
