i love godaddy.com and use them for all my domains

ther best thing about them is that if before you buy a domain you search for a 'godaddy code' then you can come up with codes that make each domain only cost like $6 per year or even less if you buy more. they also do the same for there hosting although i have never used the hosting sorry.

also i found the nameserver changes are very fast compared with some other companies i have treid or heard about which really makes it better.

I orderd a domain directhost.biz. Drecthost.biz already registered by other person. The registry ltd. reserved about euro 37.3 and euro 2.1 from my credit card. They didn't mention the charge about euro 37.3 for CG Merchant Account (To accept : Visa, Mastercard, Amex). The owner of the both the registry ltd. and Credit Geneva (Private Capital) Ltd are the same.

I think it is a gross fraud to reserve money from my account in that way. The websites of the companies are following:

THE REGISTRY Domains Webhosting Solutions

| CREDIT GENEVA | Secure Gateway Payments Online |

I reported this to http://www.ic3.gov/

How did you guys get on with Webspace2Me

I have registered also with them - got my site up and running

Are your pages .net if so you need to go into the settings on your site through helm and tell it the version of ASP you are using

did your domain name get registered???

let me know as used them and they (LUCA) took 21.25 from me for the CG Account...

I noticed that it says you get your money when your ballance reaches £50 but I dont want to put more money into it

look at the whois for THE REGISTRY Domains Webhosting Solutions

there is a mobile - I called it - could tell by the ringtone that the mobile is abroad at the moment and got LUCA's voicemail

Still no reply from webspace2me.co.uk, nor from Credit Geneva, and still no domain recognition from any of the domain checkers. I rang Consumer Direct advice service on 08454 04 05 06 and was advised to request copy of the contract. Law says they have to reply promptly. They might be liable for breach of contract, or failure to deliver goods/services, or violation of data protection act. Need to find out if Credit Geneva is a parent company, or vice versa. Since they both operate out of a postbox in Manchester, it seems like they're linked in some way.

Kind of a lot of trouble to go to when all I wanted was to get a simple domain set up. Glad to see yours is working.

I didn't do .net.

Sounds like the voicemail is as useful as sending an email.

I don't understand the ASP bit. I'd be willing to try, just to see if it makes any difference. But what do I do?

Well I done some extra snooping about

using the postal address I found another website

each website I found by that address I do a whois and yes its always luca

ha but there is a little bit of info at the bottom of this website

There is a phone number

Online Company Formation UK Limited Company Registration

I called and have spoke to 2 people one man one woman.

both said I need to speak to luca regarding website stuff

and seemed a bit iffy when I mentioned Credit Geneva.

you say your bank is getting your money back?

what about the domain name - have you managed to secure that because once you get a refund he could sit on the domain name

I think that best registrar is Alantron.com - Accredited Domain Name Registration Service.

It's using is very simple, it is as cheap as GoDady, ICANN accredited and you do not have to pay an extra $4.99/yr. per for adding privacy (not like GoDady!). They include privacy freely for everyone!

I would say that the BEST registrar would be Network Solutions as they are relaiable ... tehre are many out there that its hard to tell, must of the "registrar's" are actually resellers of the big ones like register.com

Domainend and JohnLBW, this is very useful info about webspace2me.co.uk, Credit Geneva, and the affiliated outfits. It gives me a clearer sense that it's nothing to do with me or my difficulties, but that it is a pattern of some dodgy behaviour.

But I am curious - how did you find out about Webmaster-Talk.com? It's great that you report your information here.

I contacted Enom and they gave me the password for changing my DNS records. I have changed the password and my DNS points to a different server...

Now to get my money back!

Found this out after I wrote the above

ALL WEBSITES RELATING TO REGISTRY-UK and WEBSPACE2ME are down.

spoke to my bank and a number of people have been caught out.
