Another vaguely obscure request, I'm afraid, but if anyone can help me it'll be somebody on this site, I'm betting!

I am trying to pull together vastly scattered domain portfolios for clients. As trade mark attorneys we have access to a nifty little online database of intellectual property rights which also includes .co.uk domains and is searchable by proprietor. This is invaluable in terms of checking whether a .co.uk may have been registered in bad faith etc. and is also very handy in pulling together all the .co.uk domains that my client owns but has forgotten it owns!

SOOO, the big question is - does anyone know of a similar database of domain registrations that would cover all gTLD's and (I'm really hoping now!) most ccTLD's and with whois searchable by registrant?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

As far as I know, WHOIS doesn't search by registrant, only by the actual domain name.

But this is just a standard WHOIS search by domain or IP and I was hoping someone might know of a provider of a database similar to the one we use for trade mark searches (called Marquesa) which is searchable by proprietor but unfortunately only covers .co.uk and not other ccTLD's or gTLD's.

I suppose maybe contacting Marquesa and asking if they know of anyone providing a similar service but which covers ccTLD's and gTLD's may be the best place to start, but in the meantime if anyone else can help I'd be grateful!
