Well, i think those are domains :P, ccTLD domains for European Union.
Those can be helpful if your target is European Unions.

It is just like any other domain extension on the market. I don't see it growing too big in the next few years. Maybe down the line it will get popular due to expansion in Europe but that is it.

.eu is now the fifth biggest ccTLD in the world.

Promising WebWiseForum? I would say this .eu domain exploded in a very positive way in a short period of time, just teasing you WebWiseForum.

You are from the UK so that is probably why you see a huge surge. Here in the US, I rarely encounter . eu domains.

I agree. It is generic domain, that has still 1 word keywords free. And they are very cheap, sometimes < 1usd. For USA useless, but otherwise...

Btw all sportsbooks aimed at US market moved under .eu, it will be more known even in US than now.

Really? And .org, .net, .co, .info, .tv .whatever is also useless? You realize a domain is a pointer and a marketing device. Nothing more. If you point it to a server that holds documents, it's not useless, if you have a name and can market that, then it has use to it. So you're wrong, all so wrong.

I think it cool while it been largely use by those organisation that rank themselves as top company in europe and they use .eu domain extension giving the feeling that their business is master in the whole europe.
