How does and ending of .in " look better" than an ending of .in

That was a good question which stirred up my curiosity, I found a link where it will help you decide which one you want to choose, or for your needs.

Difference

Neither are attractive to me. My eyes are glued to .com as the best extension for commercial reasons.

If you MUST choose between the two, I see .in as better than .co.in because it is shorter and probably easier to remember for most average Joes.

They might not have the best resell value but if you are developing a site I would go with a .in.

Obviously this is totally up to you and you need to decide how you want to represent yourself online. If the site is for a business the .co.in might work better.

Anything personal and I would always go with just .in. There are quite a lot of industries, e.g. marketing, where the .in might also work better, simply for the fact the domain will be shorter and perhaps more memorable.

Errrmmm???

Just in case it slipped by your eagle eyed vision and your rapier-like, incisive and intuitive reading ability,

They BOTH end in .in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And why would google "penalise" for using a GENUINE country code TLD??

Usually with a post like this ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

by people who make up what they think they know what they are talking about.

Some forums, though I'll not mention any Definite Pace names, have little or no standards and alloW mis-inFormation to proliferate.

If your website is in company base , it better to get .co.in which create a professional status and allow people know you as a company .
.IN is more simple while lot individual website come with .in as well.
For personal use and blog usage then go with .in.

I'd go for the .co, since many experts believe it may catch on as the next .com

You can go for any. Both are good. However if you looking for shorter domain then .in is the better choice or else if it is a corporate brand then go for .co.in
Co.in is standard domain for corporates. Even you can see Google, Yahoo also using co.in for India. Not .in.
