Put keywords that your domain is a smart idea to get placed in Google. We all know that this is a way to brand our website. Just do not unnecessary for a fair fight in this industry.

Hello,

I think keywords in a domain url may help, I use them.
But if you choose long keywords with the result that the url gets longer than 35 characters - you are in trouble if you want to advertise with google adwords.

Domaining is when you register a domain, or purchase a domain on the market seondary, intending to draw traffic, and turning that traffic into revenue. Traffic traffic. It can just hit hard even to get domain names linked to when you pay for privilege.Directory editors often reject these names on sight, because these names are often associated with low quality content.

There is not necessary to get keyword in url. And it's not affect to seo, you have to choose only proper keyword for your website/blog on related niche. Having keywords in your domain name only makes a difference to your SEO when your domain name is the exact-match keyword that you want to rank for AND is the .com or local .com version (eg .com.au) of the keyword.

There is a direct search engine optimization benefit to using keyword rich hyphenated domain names. Google and other search engines using Googles database will give every page of a site a fair boost for singular and hyphenated words within the domain name, even when the word isn't used in the code. Yahoo and MSN also give a SERPs boost, but it’s much smaller than seen with Google.

It can not contain more than three words. I see a lot of people do this mistake again and again. Let us take a seoexplain.com example, you can see that the domain name is built from two words it is "search engine optimization"and"explanation ", you can use up to three words, more than three is strictly unrecommended.

This piece of advise has REALLY cheered up an otherwise rubbish day!

The fact that "Search Engine Optimization" is three words in itself makes it even funnier!

A keyword in the domain name inherently forces good SEO methodologies on the site owner. I've never seen verifiable proof that domain names do anything directly.

I believe it work while it usually help for the exact match keyword . But ofcourse your site need to be quality enough while Google Panda and Google Penguin will not rank you if your site is not related or quality enough .
Even domain extension do different just like .uk country domain help you to rank better in Google. UK due to Google search engine take you as local website will bring priority advantages.

I am not an expert but I read a lot about this topic and personally I think - Keyword in Domain Name doesn’t help in SEO these days….

and it not necessary to your keyword in the domain name….if you have your keyword in your domain name then that’s good but if you don’t have a keyword that’s not a problem at all….

Keyword in domain name works just as a “description” tag….it is important for CTR but not for SEO….if you have your keyword in your domain name then search engines usually bold them (just like search engines bold your keyword in description tag) and it may help your CTR…..

And we all know page description is not important for your SEO but important for your CTR…and same rule or conditions goes with keyword in domain name as well….

(though I am providing some wrong information in my site and I will change it soon)

Yes if there is no keyword in your domain then also it will get good SEO Result.
But the thing is keyword based domain do not need much optimization, but a domain without a keyword need lots of SEO word and will increase your SEO budget.

However some how you are right that now days keyword in domains will not effect much. But its good to have keyword in domains.
