hi, i have a subdomain called "oddnerdrum.info" and it points to

http://brendansite1.startlogic.com/oddnerdrum/index.php, that is what you see later in the address bar. i was wondering , do i have to do anything special for oddnerdrum.info to be indexed by google. being that its a subdomain that points to another address? any help greatly appreciated thanks. derek

actually i dont think its a subdomain , i think its another domain on the same hosting acccount.

You've got an http redirect on oddnerdrum.info so it'll never get indexed:

thank you, what should i do? that address points to my index.php file . a login page for my seconds website. every time i tried to point it another way, the login would stop working in IE.

It doesn't need anything "special" it just needs to exist as a actual "site"

One thing at least, it does show that SEs or at least Google IS following a meta refresh redirection

It needs hosting (or pointing/parking) rather being forwarded using a meta refresh.

i have one account with derekvanderven.com as the main domain, and oddnerdrum.info as the second domain which points to http://brendansite1.startlogic.com/oddnerdrum/index.php, using the domain pointing manager. can oddnerdrum.info get indexed by google with that? please. i submitted my domain one week ago however. lol

here is what tech support for my hosting said.

Nina Scott: It will take 3-4 weeks to view your domain name via Google. If the issue still persists, you need to contact Google directly.

Because of the meta refresh redirect, oddnerdrum.info does not exist and will NEVER be indexed.

oddnerdrum.info is pointing to http://brendansite1.startlogic.com/oddnerdrum.index.php right now

You will have to move the content of oddnerdrum.info to a folder on the same site as your site is the one where the page with the meta refresh is ncurrently.

No redirects, no meta refresh or anything.

Creating a Sitemap and submitting it to Google (http://www.google.com/webmasters) may also help in getting indexed. You still want to fix it for SEO though.

Good idea. I believe that will be anough to have a link from the well indexed web site and in a few days you will have your web site indexed + all SE have subbmission form for the new web sites

And as I know google aren't satisfied to crawl, rate and do other things with .info domains... Because they are used mostly by spammers...

You had better tell google not to crawl these anymore then!!!
