Hey I got a site kind of like ebay, and the only thing from stopping me from going public, is a great, memorable domain name. I am completely clueless, and have been thinking for the past two days on a great name. I got economicalmonkey right now, but I dont really like it. Jk, It seems like it is really hard to get a good domain name now a days. I have a few web projects that really need one, but I haven't found anything yet. You might luck out by offering someone some good money, like $300 - $1000, because a lot of people are just sitting on domains waiting for people like you. It just matters if it is worth it.

I could give you some good domain search tools, but you're not going to find any domains worth the weight of your site's code.

You could however come up with a name that is just quirky and memorable, they just won't have the terms you are looking for. Just something people could remember.

Yeah I kinda want a memorable name, almost all the big sites dont really describe what they do. ebay, craigslist, facebook, flikr, twitter, google etc.

I'm sure your code is good, but I'm just saying you could have a auction site that is better than ebay, but you have to find a domain name better than thisisanauctionsite.com, so look for something original

@OP: your web site is not working, so no inspiration.
I think if you have nothing to do with your web site - add ads and be happy

I suppose there are a lot of auction softwares over there and you can use them and most of them are open source.
