Well. But isn't content is the king for SEO? As far as I know that is. Domain name should be short and memorable instead. That is only mine approach

I suppose that there is no connection between domain name and SEO. I suppose that more important what your web site contain then whatdomain name is. I'm sure the SE think in the same way

The domain name might help a little, if concentrated on 2 essential keys. But in more competitive keys it doesn't mind.

Never underestimate the value of a generic keyword rich domain vs a brandable.

Brandables can be nice but in my opinion Generics are better. Even a small boost for SEO adds up over time.

I prefer something brandable, though if you can get a keyword in there why not. One way keywords in URLs can help is when people link to you. Most of your links will be your domain name so if you have a keyword in there you get that keyword in the anchor text.

I wouldn't go out trying to stuff keywords into your domain. Like I said I prefer short and memorable. But if you can get a keyword in there it probably makes sense to.

Having a great domain name is very important to SEO, in my own opinion. The domain name is not the most important part of a web page for high rankings in the search engines. The title of the webpage is actually the most important part of a webpage. I know this from doing testing. I changed some of the words in the title on one of my websites, without changing anything else, and my website dropped like a rock on Google. Besides the website domain name and the title there are additional factors that also must be included on a website in order for the website to rank well in the search engines. Some of those additional requirements for high search engine rankings are the H1 heading, using the alt attribute for images on the website, and having content on the webpages that contains keywords.

What better situation than your site name being a description of your site, I think that is what makes it memorable.
