Thought I would share this little tool I use to appraise domains before I purchase them. It's not exactly perfect but it can give you a ballpark figure of what a domain might be worth...

Estibot is a good tool, though like any tool it can often be inaccurate.

Wow, this tool says my biggest site's domain is worth US$120,000!

its not 100% accurate, it all depends on what people are willing to pay for the site but it does give you a good ball park estimate.

You have two superfluous 0s in your accuracy figure, and you missed out "even" between "not" and 1%.

It's a good site in my opinion.

Unfortunately it can be extremely inaccurate sometimes.

estibot is the best appraisal tool i have seen so far. i brought a paid membership there as well. great tools

but just a little advice for newbies, dont just rely on estibot. its very difficult to sell the domains quickly at the prices which estibot says
i got a famous camera model domain which estibot says $22000, but i dont think i can even sell it for one tenth of it. also i have seen few avaialble domains which estibot says more than $500, which for me i cant see much value in the reseller market. but for a end user those figures are right but only lucky few finds end users

well put... Thats how I look at the results from estibot... I just use it to figure out a ballpark value of a domain but wouldn't exactly say the domain is worth the estibot value.

a quite handy tool , but it will just give you at around 20-50% accuracy. or maybe they estibot can no longer do a billion dollar valuation like google.

I like estibot alot and I've been using them since they came along. Its a really the best auto appraisal tool that I've seen, much better than leapfish. I've found that depending on the name the tool can be helpful, try playing with capitalization to distinguish keywords and get better results.

Looks pretty inaccurate to me. But cool tool regardless.
