I'd like to make some offers on various domains, but the logistics of how to make an offer, and how to transfer the ownership of the name and transfer the money is all a mystery to me. Likewise, if someone were to offer to buy a domain from me, I would have no clue how to actually give it to them and how to receive money from them.
Since I want to understand how this all works so that I can buy and sell domains in the real world, I'd like to go through the motions.
SO, if anyone has a domain on here that they are not planning to renew, I am interested in buying it for the price of the original registration. Since I only want to do this for educational reasons, I don't care what the domain is. Preferably I'd like to buy from someone who has done this before, otherwise I think we'll have a pretty hard time making the transaction happen.
May I share one frustration I've had so far? I visited one aggregated site which indicated at the top that it was for sale. I clicked the "make an offer" link, and the form for making an offer stated: "NOTE: ALL BIDS MUST EXCEED $1000". But what if the domain is only worth Ten Dollars???? Stuck already! See? That's why I need to go through the motions.
So please contact me if you'd like to sell a name! I'd like to do this as soon as possible.
