I have noticed that many comanies have been proposing free .info's or very cheap ones lately, i suppose .info isn't one of the best to have on your everyday website or forum , but this has been a way of attracting clients, what do you think of it?

Many webmasters I have noticed are actually buying the .info as they are real reasonable, and putting up sites on them.

Its not going down.
People think that because it is so cheap, it is not worth buying, but the fact is that this is just a promotional offer till Jan 1st. After that, the rates will be almost at par with .com/.net/.org

Moreover, Internet is all about information, the .info extension fits a lot of topics just perfectly..

Beside the cost, .info make really good domains (if you plan to build something there) for information. It'll not really fit if yo uplan to sell something there, but information about something would be really good.

I personally don't like .info's..
They aren't that expensive I guess but probably for people with a business then yeah, but for me, I wouldn't like one

.info's are good for some websites, and not for others. If you're starting a webhosting company, a .com would be preferable. If you're making a page about the harms of smoking, .info might be a better fit.
