What is better in your opinion... short domains or long domains?
I like short and I think that it is the obvious better desicion, but sometimes for SEO it is better to have long.
For example, in your opinion is it better to have hostderit.com or websitehostingdirectory.com ?

it depends what you want the domain for if you want it so you can devolop it then sell it for $xxxx then its best to have a short 3 LLL domain but if its for a site you dont think youre going to sell, use a longer domain as then people will know whats on the site.

i choose the easy to remember short domains. because no one will remember large domain. large domains are only good if they have a catchy name so people can remember it

Short domains preferable. Like Yahoo and MSN are short. Google is also short.
DynamicDrive is not short but it is good filled up with resources. Why you buy domain is because of the quality of the name and not because of the length of the name. Obviously, people prefer more of short domains. I do the same but not in all aspects. Long domains are like NamePros, MegaGames.. and they are still famous.
So, you must choose a quality name and not decide on the length of the domain.
For this reason, please dont take too long a name. Let your domain name be a moderate one.!

Thank you!

namepros.com is advertised everywhere and is catchy. And short domains are more prefferable. why do you htink people pay tons of money for 3 letter ones?(well ya there are barely any left but it is also that it is easy to remember)

i voted for short domains, i hate long domains, the shorter, the easier it is to remember. Long ones would be really hard to remember.

if its long, it would only be easy to remember if it had real words in it.. even then sometimes you wont remember.
