Expiration Period to transfer a Domain Name.

I was registered with the no name registrar, because it was super cheap, and this was when I was younger. It could of just been that registrar. I can't really remember what the name was. I don't think you'll have to worry if you're registered through a registrar like GoDaddy or something. Still check into it though. If you're not going to transfer it to another person than you have nothing to worry about at all.

Yeah, its probably contigent upon the registrar. Discount companies would logically be a bit less willing to do so, because as you said, you get what you pay for.

Yeah, and the reputable registrars are pulling so far away from other competition that it would be hard for the no namers to stay in business, so taking away the delay period would be a minor step in improvement.
