how do we find out how many hits uique we get a day, cos i use statcounter and cq counter

In the morning... check the counter and write the number down. THen you check the counter again at the next morning and write that number down. Then you substract the first number from the last number and you get the visitors for that day.

Or you can take number of hits divided by everyday the counter has been up. (more accurate)

so we dont pay for it or anything? ever? we just get it for free?
