Generic .com domains "dominate" recent sales--Fexon Technology Ltd

A number of generic domain names (GDNs) dominated this week's top 20 including one major sale at over £800,000.
The chart, put together by DN Journal, listed a range of high-value sales for the week ending March 2nd but it was the $1,659,000 (£828,000) private sale of DataRecovery.com taking the premium position.
However, this was not the only GDN to feature in the list as the sale of Auditors.com at $125,000, which also made the headlines last week, came in second place following its own private sale.
Also in the chart were Holland.net, InternetBusiness.co.uk and IndustrialSupplies.com which all made an appearance having changed hands for a significant fee.
The website notes that the .com top-level domain "enjoyed its usual chart dominance taking of 15 of 20 positions" and adds that .net "also has a good week".
Last week, the St Louis Business Journal reported that ESS Data Recovery had acquired DataRecovery.com for use with its business within the IT sector.(Fexon Technology Ltd Report)
