Reserve domains that will be deleted in a few days?

Are there registrars that allow you to reserve or queue for a domain, so you can make sure you get that domain?

The reason is I got a mail saying it will be available in a few days, offering me to get it - but they didn't give me a price. It didn't look like an automated mail.

Had a look-around, anyone tried this 4-day reservation on networksolutions.com and know if it works? http://about-networksolutions.com/cu...on-measure.php

I have emailed my own registrar about this, of course. No reply yet.

Suggestions?

Doesn't matter if you "reserve" it, technically the first registrar to "activate" the domain name after the expire period will get it, someone could have reserved with another registrar that might "beat out" network solutions.

Hm. So there is no way, no how, one could queue for a domain with any assurance of getting it?
