This site is cool, http://www.freedomainssite.com you can sign up for free TLD names and cpanel hosting for free. I have 2 sites hosted with them and they're good so far.

The only thing you need to do is place 3 ads anywhere on your site and you get to choose what pages they're on and where they go. You can also buy adspace on the website and page or their customers you want your ads on (I havn't done this yet).

Other question is how long will they be able provide things for free?

I doubt any site which is going to make money or get serious traffic will be on free hosting with limited bandwidth and adverts.

Seen an offer like this before and it didn't last long

Free services don't last for long. I remember I had my site hosted on a free web hosting before with no ads, and after a month the site was running very slow, and about 20 days later the site was gone. Thank God I had my backup.

but i'm surprised 4 any one whois believe this sites - | OOH great host and great support and great service | -

i think we don't need these sites because host prices is very low .. Only 2:3 USD in a month

i think google is a greatest site 4 make a money ..

I would stay away from "Free" hosting sites and there is usually a hidden agenda as to why it is free. As the old saying goes, "you get what you pay for". Paid hosting right now is cheap, so check out GoDaddy.com, 1and1.com etc. , regards, osagie irowa

I have 3 sites hosted with them (1 new, just registered yesterday). They're a new site so they'll probably be making a few changes here 'n' there, but I think it'll last longer then a month. I've had my oldest domain hosted with them since September.

Just be careful registering domains with a hosting provider. You should always keep those separate in case one goes down. You don't want a hosting provider holding your domain hostage.

I fully agree with Kate, never mix things, domains should be help by a reliable registrar.

Keep domain name with a good registrar - however if you get option for free hosting - no harm in trying that with anyone.

i use to use a site that gave free hosting but it only lasted for 4 months and the 1st month it was really fast but then got slower and slower

but they just ran on donations from users which wasn't very much

it could work but there is always alot of negatives with these sorts of deals and frankly to pay a little bit each month isnt alot to ask for especially if you are planning on making a site to earn you some cash (btw if you need some cheap hostgator hosting contact me)

free is maybe a good option to setup but after that do buy 'real' hosting

The free hostings are good, but not for serious work. I have some free sires in freeservers some years ago, and some day, start the publicity in my pages and turn slower. In the case of free domain, i donīt sure who is the owner of the domain.

Free hosting is good if you don't want to make profit from your websites.

I always recommend www.angelfire.com because they train newbies on HTML and more and they are free. Another free site that has a more professional look is www.all4webs.com
