Which domain name is better:

i would have to say the second one.

I don't like URL with "THE" in them ... I would go with activistsite.com

This domain name (activistsite.com) sounds cool and brandable..

I agree activistsite.com is much better, because the "the" does not get picked up by search engines and it adds more chances for user error when attempting a direct load off of off-line awareness campaigns. Best of Luck.

I would say the second is better. Guys I have learned something valuable that (was costly experience 4 me) someone might find usefull. Buying too many domain names with plan to auction them for big money is not in anymore... The only way to earn something is having good content and traffic. So I have many domain names where some appraising sites (swiftappraisal) stated amazing value. But the real value is the market price and it is almost impossible to sell domain name just because the name is good. According to my sad experience domain names without high pagerank and natural traffic have almost no "finantial liquidity" so when buying 100s of domain name you have to be prepared to pour money into your domain name portfolio or give up later. And also be aware of people who sends you offers for domain name exchange/sales: I have been ripped off so be careful folks!
