Hello Everybody.

How can I go about renewing a domain name I originally registered with a registrar that has gone under before my domain name expired?

Will I loose that domain since my defunct registrar has closed shop?

I need your urgent help!

thank you.

Just as long as the hostname is registered to YOU it's safe.

Any registrar should be able to retag the hostname to their tag and assume responsibilities.
You may need to contact the main registrar (Nominet, Internic etc) with responsibilities for the TLD and demonstrate proof of ownership to allow the tag release, but they should be aware of the demise of the lower tier registrar.

Hello,

What is the domain name you have with you which has to be renewed ?
You can open up a dispute with the Internet registry as per your domain TLD this can resolve your domain renewal issues.
There is always an governing organization for every domain that is been registered on the internet.

Please let me know if you have any more queries or let me know if I can help you for anything else, I will be glad to help you

Thank you.
