How do u edit the drop down menu style using a CSS. I tried using

dropdown {
color: #FF0000;
}

and gave the dropdown the calss "dropdown" but it didnt make it red.

Without seeing the rest of your html/css, the only thing I can say is that if your class is dropdown, then your rule should read:

.dropdown {
color: #ff0000;
}

Don't forget the '.'

You have very few options for styling form elements, they're fairly inflexible.

kk but why doesnmy text once clicked on in the drop down menu go behind the down ward arrow?
