Slicing in ImageReady

I typically will code web sites from scratch using CSS. Until the other day, I was under the impression that ImageReady would only slice out to tables...but I read a write up somewhere out there that mentioned in ImageReady, you can slice as CSS rather than tables. so I opened ImageReady, and there it was...the option to slice and export as CSS. All of the divs were there and properly placed.

I'm curious what the pros and cons of this method are...

I wouldn't use it. IR spits out some pretty BAD CSS, usually suffering from div-itis.
