hey im trying to set a small little image to show in the bottom right corner of my content div.

why isnt the
background: url('./images/trans_tortoise.png') bottom right no-repeat; showing?

i have no clue why this wont work :s someone help!

Your IE conditional statements are messing up the CSS. IF you remove them it shows. Probably needs a rewrite.

yea this is the thing, i have that single ie thing in the head of the template, which fixes what that ie thing is for (the navigation) but if i remove it from the style it makes the content not float left? im confuseed...

if you look now u can see what it is like without the conditional ie in the style.

but it IS in the head on its own.
whyis it doing this?

Actually, it's the path that's incorrect.

Try either http://www.calm.dansgalaxy.co.uk/ima...s_tortoise.png or /images/trans_tortoise.png and see what happens.

Mind you, this won't work in IE6...it has problems with transparent PNGs. I'd create a JPG alternative and use it instead for IE6.

yea i know it isnt transparent, well not properly its trans pic on white bg so should be fine..

the path shouldnt b wrong i tried it with images/trans with /ikmages/trans etc
and with the full path but still didnt work

EDIT i take that back it works :s

ok next problem, the condition ie thing messes up the images.. so it dont show but if i dont have it the content goews weird.

yukes! just looked at it in IE6 and not only is the content NOT floated, its all messed up with the navigation styling! HEEELP!!!

May I ask why you are converting to a table based layout for IE?? It is not necessary and that is what is probably causing you all the ills.

erm... i got the navigation off dynamicdrive. amd have just changed the colours and thats about it :P and basically took the css and shived it in mine :P

if you can re-write it or something so it works, and looks the same i would appriciate it, im not exactly a guru with CSS

i fixed the thing for IE6 so now i just have the same problem as IE with the whole content not floating thing :P
