I am trying to line up 3 div tags in a row, with all 3 of them sat inside one large div tag.

The large div tag is 745px width
Each smaller div is 235px width, with 5px for padding.

Each small div is appearing on a new line and I just cant figure out why this is happening. Is there one common mistake which is probably causing this that I should know about?

Would it help if I post my code?

Thanks

Because divs are block level elements - that means they get their own line.

If you want them to line up on the SAME line, float them all.

Yes, posting your code or a URL is always helpful.
