It seems to work in FF (except no margins so page seems a bit more squashed to left) but not in IE ! arrggghhh !

What does it mean?
background-repeat:repeat;

If you want it to repeat verticaly use background-repeat: repeat-y;

Should work in IE

background-repeat:repeat; means it repeats both vertically & horizontally. I originally had the code set to background-repeat:repeat-y; but it wouldn't work so I tried setting it simply on repeat to no joy. It still works in Firefox but not in IE so I am at a loss.

At first I thought it was to do with not clearing my columns then maybe teh z-index but mucking about with these does not seem to have helped so I am stuck.

Ok have managed to achieve a workaround for the moment so that my client does not completely hit the roof tommorrow when they see it.

I have placed a non-breaking-space in the bottom of each page with two columns in and also in the main template under the two columns with the menu and main area. This seems to fool IE into believing that these areas are populated and hence to flood fill them with colour or image.

Strange that Firefox does not require this workaround yet IE simply does not realise that these areas are filled in with content.

Now I understand why Firefox is a much better browser - shame so many people use IE.

Tonya,
background-repeat: repeat isn't necessary. If you put a background on a div, unless you tell it otherwise it will tile in BOTH directions by default.

You can also just use "background: url(images/blah.gif) top no-repeat;"

BTW - the link for "Smoothie Sues" from the Fresh Products page doesn't work.

I'll take a better look at this in the AM.. my brain is fried tonight. Site looks nice though.
