I am turning to the forums as I am having trouble and CSS validator seems to be down. I am trying to view an image in Firefox and it shows when offline but when it goes online it vanishes. In IE it is visible but not firefox. This is not a background image but just a regular image. I suspect it has to do with some CSS I am using but the validator is down.

here it is the link: http://www.bloomingdesignspdx.com
here is the image that is not showing: http://www.bloomingdesignspdx.com/im...dvertising.png (though i am certain is not an image issue as I have recreated and uploaded it several times)

Any help or direction appreciated.

Thanks,
Chris

Hey thanks for checking it out. No, I havn't fixed it yet and I just checked it on another machine in Firefox and the image is still not showing. Basically there should be an image that says "advertising" next to "Graphic Design". And I still cannot get the CSS validator to work. Seems to have been down for the past day or so.

It is "hiding"

both "advertising" & "graphics" are "sharing" the same space in different planes, probably due to having float and clear in the same direction on a single element.

Set your #page-container to position:relative and your image will appear. It's a good practice to set your main container to position:relative anyway, so if you do need to position something inside it, it will be relative to your container rather than the body.

Thanks for the feedback but for some reason changing the "position:relative" still isn't doing it for me. The weird thing is that offline it works fine but online the image is not there. Also, I checked out some screen shots using other machines online and they are showing the image. At this point I am just assuming that it is a problem with my version of Firefox.
