Hello,

Per the usual case on this board, my site looks great in Firefox and not so great in IE, where there is strange spacing around the images on the left side of the page:

Does anyone know what could be causing this issue?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks,
Pat

Hi LadynRed.

Thanks for the reply.

I am having the same problem in both IE6 and IE 7. To be more specific, there is a large gap between "brands represented" on the left, and the first bullet image "acetum."

Addtionally, there is more space in IE on the "modena fine foods" logo, but I am not sure if anything can be done about that...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Well, for IE6, adding height: 1% (called the Holly Hack) the the <li>, that will make that bit space disappear. That shouldn't be necessary in IE7, but try it and see what happens.

Well phoeey. I can't get that to work...

I am kind of desparate to get this done, and so I think I might just make a new ul for all 50+ pages on my site to get things to look correct in all browsers.

This will suck. Is there a way to simply "find / replace" certain things on multiple web pages all at once?

... I'm guessing not.

You have to use conditional comments to call a 2nd CSS file that contains just the 'fixes' you need for IE's bad behavior, you can't just put it into your main css file.

Weak.

I'm just going to put a disclaimer on anything I make, that if you are using Internet Explorer, you don't deserve to view my site...

I just re-created the UL for all pages and updated the site so things are okay now cross browsers.

Danka.
