Well, I have a site which is code-wise messy (long story and not all my fault), but a client noticed some space showing in IE (7 or 8) which doesn't show in FF and after playing for a bit, I'm not sure what the solution is. The URL is http://members.therestaurantexpert.com/ . The section to look at is labeled "The Vault - Featured Resources". You'll notice some additional yellow showing to the right of the black box encompassing the text. I need to get rid of that yellow.

I've tried a variety of things and can sometimes reduce the width of the yellow, but can't ever get rid of it, so I'm hoping someone here will save me.

I have extracted the code for that section here:

HTML Code:
<div class="featured_box" id="featured_box_the_vault___featured_resources" style="margin:0.5em;">
  <div class="featured_header" style="text-align:center">
    <h2 style="margin:0px;">The Vault - Featured Resources</h2>
  </div>
  <div class="featured_top_text"></div>
  <div class="featured_articles">
    <div class="teaser_box">
      <div style="float:right;clear:right;" class="teaser_image"><img src="./images/chef_cookingTeaser.jpg" alt="Keep ‘Em Happy and Save Some Cash image"></div>
    </div>
  </div>
</div>
in case that helps.

AAAAAAHHH!!! My eyes are bleeding! Ack, whatever you do, don't press CTRL+U! (duck)

Seriously, though, I don't see a defined width for that section or your header. Try that, and if IE gives you any crap after that, do an overflow: hidden; in a conditional comment for that section just to see what it is IE is doing. Sometimes putting a bright border around troublesome sections temporarily helps me track down those wonky little display quirks.

Hope that helps.

Thanks. Took me awhile to get to it, but setting a specific width on the outer div did the trick!
