HI,
i read a few of the previous posts where people had problems with dropdown menus not working in IE, but m still totally helpless. as some said that hover effect works only for a: tags in IE. But even after having a: tags for all my list items, i still dont get it in IE, though it works perfectly fine in FF.
i also got a crack over the net for IE, but that too din help.
i have attached the file in which i defined the menu list and also the corresponding css file.

ne help would be GREATLY appreciated.

The conditional comment does NOT belong in your CSS, it goes in the HEAD section of your html document. Move it and your menu will work in IE.

Oh yes i had realised that i am supposed to put it in the head section, but doing so was of no help. to add to it when i moved it to the head section it had a strange effect on firefox... the dropdown list was pushed further down as shown bellow


This is very annoying, i din have a clue what it had to do with firefox! But i dont care, i jst cant figure out why its not working in IE (m using IE 6)

Screenshots will have to be linked off a web server, not your computers filesystem or hit Add reply and attach.

It DOES work, I tried it. IE is showing you INCORRECT behavior, whereas Firefox is showing you correct behavior.

Well i din understand that quite well .I want it to WORK WITH IE.
i did jst as u told bt in ie it only shows me the main menu but upon hovering over it there is no dropdown menu showing.

did u mean the dropdown worked for you in IE?

Yes, I meant the dropdown worked in IE6
