hey, I don't like the way a window pops up when a link is hovered over. This is in a theme I am using on wordpress. I tweaked with the css but I don't know what portion of the code represents this weird, black, partially transparent box that pops up when you hover over a link. If there is not title tag in the link, the box is blank. If there is a title, it will be in the black box. I just want it to be a normal looking title information pop up thingy. I am slightly ignorant with this, but I am trying.

Thanks if you can help!

I emailed the thememaker for support and he replied but I didn't go and register and fill in a support ticket. Maybe I use the resources available here at wt.

If you want the theme, it's called tech 9. The header comes with psd for editing.

1) Fire up firefox
2) Install firebug http://getfirebug.com (The screenshot on the home page show you what you want)
3) Open your page
4) Open the firebug workspace (F12 key)
4-1) If firebug is not enabled, do it now
5) Click the "inspect" button
6) Hover your mouse on the element to inspect and click to validate the choice
7) On the left part of the firebug workspace, you see which part of every CSS or inline styles applies to your element.

Hey, that sounds like a great tool. Did you look at the text document I attached. Can you reveal what part of the code represents the hover box, please.

If not, I will try what you have suggested...... maybe

It's not a tag http://www.candsdesign.co.uk/article...es-and-values/

Given the quote above: WHY are you looking in the CSS for this "hover" code????????
Title attributes

OP - If you would just follow the second posters instructions you would have no problems at all finding out what was wrong with your site. If you just posted a link, I would have even given it a quick glance. The reason no one is telling you where your problem is is that your attitude is all wrong. You need to at least give the solutions that people give you a shot.
