Okay, thank you for the information! I have noticed one thing however. I can't seem to get the div to move left or up with either padding or margin. Why is this?

You could use negative margin and padding, but I would advise against that. You will run into different browsers acting differently again. If you go with the natural flow of the document, you should not have to move anything up or to the left. If you float something to the left, it will go as far left as the container will let it.
Do you have a specific example of what you are trying to achieve?

Okay, please visit http://70.48.154.81.

See the BLD Hosting in the blue right below the flash header? I would like to move that into the rounded rectangle above it. Why not use the regular document flow? Well, i have an image that is placed inside the DIV that is rather long (actually the image is what created the rounded effect). So because the image is long, and the text is wrapped with <p> it skips a line and goes below it.

If i just use a span class, it is still not where I want it to be positioned. Rather than being more or less in the center of the Rounded header box, it would be at very bottom, therefore looking weird. (this is with span rather <p>)

What would you recommend.

Also notice that I've removed all positioning, thats why everything looks haywire .

PS : Added to your talkupation

Edit: I've added the negative padding like you stated, and have also noticed that the results in different in IE and Firefox. Maybe you know of a better solution?

Why doesn't padding-bottom: and padding-right: work?

Well, I've done it! I've managed to get exactly where I was, without positioning! It seems that it complies with all major browsers as well!

Please take a look http://70.48.154.81
