Hello guys, I have a wordpress blog used for publishing my templates design.
I use the theme from acosmin.com.

Currently, I customized the theme to my need and that part is okay. The part I'm having problem is the sidebar part. I want to add another sidebar side-by-side with the current sidebar. Then, the adsense will be on the new sidebar.

The current css for sidebar is as below:

#side .sidebar1 { width:150px; float:left; border:1px solid #E3EBED; background-color: #fff; background-image:url(images/sidebar_back.gif); background-position: top; background-repeat: repeat-x; padding:5px 4px 10px 4px; margin:0px 5px 0px 0px; }

How can I achieve this? Anyone can help?

Thank you.

We really need to see ALL the code, or a URL, to know where and how the new sidebar would fit.

If you want both sidebars to be dynamic, you are going to have to change the context of some of the PHP in one of the theme files in order to include them correctly. I don't remember it off hand, but it isn't very useful just to add sidebars in a Wordpress theme without making them dynamic also.

You can't add a sidebar just by modifying the CSS, though you surely must modify it if you want to make a new sidebar. You need to add markup (html) to the page. My main question is, why would you want to? This site already has 3 sidebars, and a narrow content area. It is already too crowded. Are you sure you want another sidebar on top of everything?

Yes, I have three sidebars. I just want to replace the sidebar which Adsense is at to include a background image, so that I could transfer some links from the other sidebar to the new sidebar..

And no, I'm not looking to add 4th sidebars.

Hehe, sorry, I should have read your post more closely. The Google ads are within the div named "#sidebar2". This div is probably in a file called 'sidebar2.php' in your theme folder. The Ad itself is within an iframe. Either you will have to go to sidebar2.php and remove the iframe from the markup, or (hopefully) just remove the text-widget from that sidebar in your widgets panel in admin. There also seems to be a couple of javascripts associated with these ads. Figure out how to remove them. Once you remove this stuff worry about adding a background image. That part is easy enough.
