same here...I guess because my site is a forum they won't accept it. It's a shame because I can't get many clicks, and even if I do my site doesn't draw advertising with any of the expensive keywords.

If you have a good way of earning from them/promoting their campaigns, then why not just give them a phone call and explain your marketing methods. That would normally work with many or at least some of the networks.

I have been working with networks for a while and know that this normally works, but only if you have a good/alright marketing strategy.

Well, I'm so small I don't think will listen to me. I actually have found one now, ADSDAQ but it will only fill about 15% of my traffic, although it does it at a good rate. I'm just looking to monetize the other 85%. Its actually kind of strange because Adsdaq usually gets about 4-5 clicks a day for me with the 15% (I'm small remember), while I usually get that in 2 weeks with google, who is supposed to be the one that is great at targeting ads.

I think the reason though is that Adsdaq has lots of flashy ads which catch users attention, even if they aren't exactly targeted well. Most of googles ads are text or pretty boring image ads, so even if they are targeted well no one ends up paying attention to them.

Did you try Snoork Ads (http://snoork.com/ads.php), they accept most of the sites.

They accepted my forum and the cpm rates are not that bad.

you have to remember its a very competitive industry so the last thing a network wants is to a risk on a site, unfortunately most of the people at adnetworks like valueclick just look for big as opposed to smaller and quality. so it really is about high traffic in specific niches.

i have had success with a couple of merchants where by i was sending them good traffic and averge conversions, but knew they were getting more value based on the FREE branding they were getting from their ads. so i wrote a letter to their marketing team summerised my site and negotiated a CPM deal. once some merchants realise you wont work with them via affiliate programs they may (if your site meets their branding requirements) give you a good tenancy/CPM deal.

ads networks prefer sites which look professional and the contents are good. so add some good contents like business contents from free article directories, so that you will get approved.
