I have been told that some pop under codes can defeat the pop under blockers so you can make more money with your pop unders. Does anyone know which companies have this type of pop under blocker defeating code? If you can defeat blockers, then I would imagine it does not matter who is paying what because you are getting many many more impressions.

Thanks.....

Then you probably aren't helping here. He isn't asking for an opinion on these types of ads.

Well just as a comparison.....I am doing 10 000 page views a day....but only a couple hundred impressions with the popunder company I am using now. So if a different company had defeating code....I can only assume the number would be in the thousands.

How many uniques are you doing a day?

Many sites limit their pop code to once every 12 or 24 hours.

10,000 pageviews is not a large number.

No you are right. We are doing 1200 uniques a day. But as I said....that is only bringing less than 200 pop unders. It should be over 1000. We have unique product that is allowing our traffic to grow quite quickly by the way.....this is why I am trying to get my ducks in row early. Again for example.....our advertising a week ago was doing 25 clicks........this morning the chart was 250 clicks.

So again...any help on the best pop under company to defeat blockers would be appreciated.

So, you basically want to go against some people's wish to not see the **** popunder everywhere?

Popups and popunders are not illegal (I wish) but youshouldn't try to defeat the blockers. I know that I personally never go back to a site that has popups or popunders and I'm not the only one.

You should kill the popunders and find another way to make money. Those who visit your site will thank you and they may come back if your site is interesting.

Well if people don't want to see pop unders I guess perhaps people should not be yelling and screaming for FREE FREE FREE FREE FREE CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP everything and actually realize that perhaps they should PAY for stuff. Unfortunately FREE and CHEAP is now what everyone is used to.....and for that reason, we are forced to use less ethical ways of earning a living online.

I don't agree that you have to use "less ethical" ways to make money online but it's your opinion.

Just know that we don't cover "BlackHat" SEO on this forum so try not to ask or promote that way of thinking here.

And everyone loves free stuff, you included, doesn't mean that we want our screens polluted by popups and popunders

Okay sure. You just remember that the next time you go to watch your favourite TV program that is 60 minutes long that is actually 34 minutes long with 26 minutes of commercials. I think personally that is much more distracting than a pop under I can close in 0.5 secs. But thats my opinion I guess. Anyway. I asked a question about companies and if someone chooses to answer great. If not....I will keep looking. Thanks.

Depends on your content, a lot of pop under work around codes will spawn a pop under if a link is clicked (i.e. a user request to another page also spawns the pop under/up, which is usually not blocked since it may be a function of the site to spawn a new window).

If you've only got a single landing page and no internal or outbound links, that may be why the pops from your ad company aren't showing. It may also be that they don't count pops from certain IPs (known botnets, countries, bad referrers, user-agents etc).

I run a very sticky site, and pop unders have been a great way to persuade subscription sign-ups. Again, it depends on your content, if they can't get it anywhere else then work it.

I'm not sure, but I would think that if one network has it then most of the others will follow as networks are not just going to let their advertising get killed by the popup blockers if they can help it as it will only decrease their overall income.

Well we are now doing 100 000 page views a day and growing. And since we could not find a company that has a pop up blocker.....defeater.....we have in fact......coded our own. We are currently testing it with one company.

Yes I guess it would make sense for all the companies to have a defeater....defeater. Why they dont I have no idea. But now we have one. And we are going to explore renting it out at 50cents a cpm if anyone knows anyone who might be interested.

I am sure there are codes out there that break popup blockers... but ultimately is it really worth it to freak out your user into thinking they have spyware by forcing popups.... Best thing to do is look into other advertising means.
