I just put them on my site and am using the interstitial ads. Does anyone have any opinion on them? Do you think it just irritates users or is it worth it?
And I'm confused on how cpm pays. Is it a flat rate per m uniques? Is it a bid process?

I like adbrite interstitials and I don't think they are very annoying at all. I did not lose any uniques or page impressions after I started using them on my myspace resource website. I have them display on the first pageview, so they pop before someone enters my site.

They pay well, at least 1 cent per unique (so $10 CPM), which quickly ads up if you've got a lot of US traffic and you get a decent inventory fill. I had to talk with a rep to fix my ad zone before I got decent fill, still only about 30% US fill but it makes me $25-35 per day.

I haven't tried the interstitials because I'm worried it will drive visitors away. If more people say they have results like DLGx maybe I'll put them back up.

Whoa..I'm at a buck and a half per day. Does it pay out only if someone uses it (clicks the add) or does it pay even if they hit "skip this add"?

It's CPM so it pays just to display no matter what the visitor does.

The risk is that someone your niche buys impressions and might steal visitors from you I haven't noticed any traffic loss from other myspace sites showing up as ads for me though.

Interstital ads doubled my AdBrite earnings on my sites. Definitely worth a shot.

How did you get them to display on the first page view? Did you have to talk to a rep to make that happen?

I have been using adbrite Interstital ads for a long time, on new sites and old and it generates good money and doesn't seem to be too annoying either.

My revenue has gone down a lot past days because of very low inventory fill, hope it goes back up

I feel the same. I had popunders on my site once for about 3 months and was earning good money. I took them off as I thought they were probably annoying to my visitors even though they were showing only 1 popunder per visitor. I took them of and I found that my traffic stayed roughly the same.

I still didn't want to put them back on though as my stats were not that good then and I thought that maybe it could have just been a downclimb in traffic once I had pulled them off or something.

Also, if I think that something annoys me then I don't want to do it to my visitors.

if you have a high traffic site you are bound to get lots of good sales.

I did have it on one of my sites, but am revamping to make room for more ads.

but from the comment above and depending on your niche i think sometimes your customers might get ticked off seein in on every page or two.
