AdSense on Weekends

I have noticed my revenue for AdSense is about 50% less on weekends compared to weekdays. Across the board on all my sites.

My software company revenue is 10% on weekends. Mostly businesses or people working buy my software so that makes sense.

Are there any genre of sites that preform better on weekends than weekdays? What trends do you notice?

On weekdays, I do okay.. and when Friday/Saturday hits, I rise a bit. Sunday has been the slowest for me so far.

I've two websites on crafts and hobbies and their best day is Sunday

It depends on the sites you have , some works good on sunday some on monday etc..

I always found the weekends to be quite slow, ecspecially Sunday. I suppose it follows how people live their lives. If they're out and about on a weekend they're not on their computers, so less chance of you getting a click.

I think it is a mixture of your site content and the time of year. For example, if you have a proxy site, during the summer your traffic will probably be down but during the school months you might see a spike in traffic. This spike will probably be during the weekdays, as that is when the kids will be looking to use a proxy, and lower on the weekends when the kids are at home. During the summer, it will probably be a pretty even distribution across all days.

It's good to identify these trends so that you can plan your best articles, etc. for days when you think that traffic will be the best, and maybe relax a bit on your lower traffic days.

Monday-Friday are pretty stable for me, the weekends are either real low or real high, but never average like Mon-Fri.

I believe that the fact that your adsense drops on the weekends is that people tend to take the day off and go out.. Picnic, bike adventures, movies, dinner etc..

sun/wed/thurs are my middle days

mon/tues are my top dollar days

Weekends suck for my programmermeetdesigner.com site. Traffic almost halves (and so do the earnings).
