Hey,

I am looking to optimize my website with adsense - currently, the adsense is on to my best placement. I was wondering if I could get some tips from all you big earners out there. It would be much appreciated.

Bottom right won't get much clicks at all. I would take that link unit out and add a horizontal unit somewhere at the top or in the content area.

Do horizontal link units get clicked on? Also when you do that, is it wise to also add images on top or on bottom of a horizontal link unit?

Hi,

I am not aware of which ads get clicked. Perhaps someone can tell me how I could find out?

Not sure what you meant by images, can you please explain?

To find out which ad units are being clicked on, you should assign a channel to each ad unit. This way when you view your reports, you'll see the clicks and earnings by channel and know which ad placement and type is the most effective.

You can assign a channel to an ad unit when you create it, its one of the options at the bottom before you click to get your code.

You can also add relevant site images next to your ad units to draw the user's attention and increase your CTR.

Good luck!

I have assigned channels - but I guess I did it wrong? Do I setup a channel for EVERY SINGLE ad? I set up a channel for a specific URL

I'll try and add relevant site images next to the ads now

You'll want to assign a channel to each ad unit if you want to see how they are performing on a specific site. This will quickly help you determine which placements are working out and which aren't.

It's all about trial and error, keep on trucking! :shuriken:

AdSense Setup -> Channels -> Manage Custom Channels

From there, just create channels for whatever ad positions that you want to monitor. For example, I have on my sites: left nav, header, footer, etc.

When you setup your ad/link units, when it asks for the channel, select the one you want and it'll have the channel ID included in your code.

So it's been two days now - how's your CTR? Has it increased or stayed the same?

There is a problem - yet the hosting company "disagrees" and says it loads fine. I don't know what to do at the moment.

You only have 1 unit on there now that I see. Have you tried changing that 468x60 to a 336x280? The bigger block gives a better result for my proxy site so it might work for you.

Also, you have room for more ad units so why not add more?
