With the new U.S gaming laws, online Bingo and gaming in general has become a "grey" market. Although it is not illegal for affiliates to promote gaming offers, nor is it illegal for the actual gaming sites themselves (as the law targets the financial institutions that process deposits) - Alot of networks have shied away from promoting Gaming.

Our company owns 8 international Bingo sites and a large portion of traffic we receive is still U.S.

So my question to you affiliates is:

"U.S Federal Wire Act" or not... do you really care? If something is in the "grey" but has no legal binding on your end would you still run it if it is profitable for you?

What if they changed the law that it was illegal for online gaming sites to accept U.S customers. But it wasn't illegal for the customer nor-the publisher promoting such site. Would you still promote them then?

Just interested to see what people think

well... it really depends how grey... I would ofc get my lawyer involved to find out just how liable I am...

Personally, if I was the owner of the site and I saw that a big portion of my clients were from the USA I would look into a couple things like:

1. Can I still offer services to those in the use or would there be legal problems?

2. If I'm located in the US can I move my company to a location outside the US where that is legal like Sweden.

And as an affiliate I would have to look into the legal concerns of promoting said business..

I mean as a business owner I want to remain legal... last thing I was is my empire to come crashing down over a small legal matter. So if it was very profitable I would try my best to find legal ways around the issues. And if it could be done I would. But I'd never just through caution to the wind of a few bucks... there are too many other legal ways to make money.

I'm really curious about this as well. I started a online casino guide site but became worried that if anyone that used it that was in a 'blacked out' area used it.. I'd be liable.

Maybe since you're running a company that serves those games you can give some advice?

As to 'grey' areas. It makes me warry to run my guide site, and I'm really not sure if I want to do it now out of fear of losing everything over a 'free service/guide' for online casino players.

Also I noticed that its illegal in many places to even advertising these sites... so we would have to be pretty creative just to get some regular traffic.
