MaxBounty - MIA as far as I'm concerned

I signed up with them 3 days ago. Put their banners on my sites yesterday. 3 or 4 hours after I did, the banners were showing intermittently and on one site were causing the pages to not even load.
I removed the code and amazingly all pages on both domains were fine.
On EF, someone posted that Maxbounty was upgrading servers. Whether or not this is true I don't know.
I emailed MB yesterday and got a quick response from support asking good questions but seemingly oblivious to the problem.
Today (Sunday) things were fine until I got online tonight and once again my ads are MIA.
So far I'd rate MB a 4 out of 10 and the only reason I give them that is due to their quick response from their support tech.
Not impressed AT ALL
<edit> 10 minutes after posting this, ads are back up....good grief
<edit>10 minutes LATER..down again.

I've only had good experiences with MaxBounty. They pay out on time, and have great customer support.

My experience has been that they have NO customer support. No reply to emails from my account rep. In fact, the only correspondence with anyone from there has been in THIS forum. So weird. I actually like their site though. Compared to the other affiliate programs I just joined their's has (to me) the best interface.

Hi Mike,
I'd actually like to clarify that. We did exchange e-mails about this problem when you first reported it to us. You even indicate this in your first post. So this forum is not the only communication that you have received from MaxBounty.
Regarding the performance of the banner rotators, several people have reported the same problem that you have. We are currently investigating and working on a solution to address the problem. I want to stress that this problem has absolutely no impact on any of the click/lead tracking.
Should anyone have any problems or questions, they are more than welcome to contact me directly: steve at maxbounty.com
Thank you.

No I did not try AIM. I do not have time to chat with people. If that's the case I'd pick up a phone. So to MB credit, maybe I'd have had better results if i had. However, as a business owner, I find it amazing that someone wouldn't reply to an email.

Steve,
I'll (somewhat) retract my accusation. Yes, you did reply to my email. However I also sent at least one email to my account rep regarding a different matter that was never replied to. From what I'm gathering, it's easier to get on AIM for your reps. I don't have to time to chat and I would have expected a reply to my email.
Regarding your reply to my email, quite frankly, the reason I never replied back was because you stated here on EF that you were upgrading servers and in your email to me you stated you were unaware of any work being done. At that point I basically threw my hands up regarding the whole thing. Also, after you stated here in a seperate thread that nobody else has complained yet in another forum you were involved in a thread regarding this very issue that went back to Feb 2 or 3.
Here is where I'm at right now: Outside of this problem, I LIKE maxbounty. I like your website, the interface, the offers, the banner rotaters. I'm new to affiliate marketing but out of the 3 or 4 we've signed up with, Maxbounty's website (to me anyway) is way above the rest.
But this issue is driving me nuts. My pages load terribly. Sometimes they come up fine (maybe 30% of the time), other times my pages load but there are empty slot where the ads are and the ads take up to a minute to slooooowly load (50% of the time) and the remaining 20% is usually a surprise, typically an image not found error (red x) or my page comes up blank but then finally loads without the ad.
With all of this, not only am I not making money for myself (and MB) from your ads but I'm also losing money from other on site rev sources.
As I said, I'm really trying here and am hoping you guys can work this out but at some point I have to consider my customer/visitors and my own wallet.

I hate the fact that everybody jumps on MB when something goes wrong, As far as their support goes, it's 100%, and did you try IM Jessica?

Per not replying to emails... well things happen. I think we're pretty proactive, but who knows what could have happened. Emails can be flagged as spam from either end, sometimes the odd one gets accidentally deleted (hey, we're all human) and once in a while it's just a plain old busy day with a slower-than-usual reply.
Once an affiliate logs in to MaxBounty, the first page they see provides the affiliate with their AM's name, phone number with extension, email address and instant messenger handle, plus an affiliate can contact us using in-house MaxBounty mail. We're working on reading tea leaves and smoke signals next. There should be no way a publisher can't reach their AM.
MaxBounty has experienced tremendous growth this past year, last two years really, and I'll admit it's sometimes a struggle to keep up with our constant non-stop growth. And yes, there will be temporary growing pains. We ARE on top of it though, and rest assured these one-off problems, like the server being slow today or that 30 minute downtime last week, are being addressed and corrected.

That you refer to this issue as a "one-off problem" borders on laughable. This problem is CHRONIC, has been going on since before I became a member and has been discussed in numerous forums. I have been an affiliate for only a matter of days yet the problems are constant and I've found that I'm spending more time worrying about my sites and the maxbounty ads than I am actually being productive.
And after a little experiment I ran today I'm almost certainly going to have to pull all maxbounty ads.
After setting up a ppc campaign and seeing numerous clicks and dollars going out, I tried to find out why I wasn't getting at least a few nibbles. Based on my experience and fears about what was happening I basically decided to gamble a few dollars.
I clicked on my own ppc ads 5 times. At almost 2 bucks a pop. 3 times I got a page cannot be displayed/not found error. This is ridiculous and unacceptable. But to you it's a "one off" problem.
So my experience with maxbounty so far has been that their "growth" is beyond what I assume are their limited resources and it's costing me money rather than making me money.
I'll continue to monitor maxbounty to see if things improve but will almost certainly be removing all ads from them across all my sites.

Maxbounty a scam?
I run their codes on my sites most visited pages and when i logged in the next day the no. of clicks doen't make sense.3 clicks only.Surprised i click on on of their ads and then log in to see if it register a click and see that no registration of clicks.....seems shady then what puzzles me is i'm redirected to a so call with a hoplink clickbank survey stuff about earning someguy earning big bucks by doing survey.
I emailed them saying their working ethics is bad....seems to me they are stealing traffic from publisher to promote another clickbank product.emailed them got a reply from a girl....blah can u help me promote this.....blah...blah
My advice Stay away from them.

Always a pleasure dealing with happy knowledgeable webmasters.
Our click stats are accurate. Winder, if your stats don't match up and your clicks are being sent to a "clickbank" product instead, it's because you're sending foreign clicks to a campaign that doesn't allow traffic from non-American IP addresses. This traffic will not be sent to the USA-only campaign and therefore is not counted in your stats for that campaign. You're from Singapore, if your traffic is as well, this is almost guaranteed what's going on.
Every campaign on the network states whether it's USA only or not. Absolutely no merchant with a good easy-to-earn CPA campaign wants foreign redirect traffic since it's generally deemed low quality, so we're limited as to where we can send these clicks. You're free to put your own filter in place and keep your foreign clicks if you wish, but if you choose to send foreign clicks to a USA-only campaign, we redirect that foreign traffic to the only catch-all campaign which will accept it.... in this case it's one which pays out per sale. (And yes if a sale is generated on this campaign, you do get the credit for it).

Well I have been on the fence on how I feel about maxbounty. However 3 weeks ago their ads really picked up for me, so I pushed em a little more.....now 3 weeks later, back to the same old "no clicks" what's funny is how I can run a Cpae ad right next to it (very similar might I add) and get 200 clicks for every 1 with max bounty......Now I cant prove anything...but it's a little fishy to me.

I did let them be.....I am now not showing as many ads as I would if they performed better :/ now if they took some of the time they spend trying to defend maxbounty and put it into better ads/better site/servers they might be getting somewhere.......I say this because over 1/2 of JP's posts here were defending them.......gotta be problems somewhere if you need to defend yourself that much imho

Sorry bro. I'm in this to make MONEY. Time is money and maxbounty has FAILED. When ads don't show, when MY SITES don't load and when my PPC campaign is in the f-ing toilet because maxbounty can't even keep up with demand...it's bye bye time. Clearly you have more money than you need if you just "feel sorry" for them. I'm sure the owners of google said the same thing when their servers couldn't keep up with demand.
That said, the past two days have been okay. I have one site with MB ads and at least they're loading. They aren't making me one dime of profit but they're loading up.
