Hey Guys,

I'm the type of person that if something is working for me, I focus ALL of my attention on that one thing. My one thing was affiliate marketing -- strictly landing pages, PPC, email promotion -- they buy, I earn affiliate marketing! I've been at it for over three years now so I have plenty of experience and regularly bring in large paychecks from several networks...

The other day, I decided (after reading through this forum), EVERYBODY almost was talking about CPA this CPA that, so naturally it start to eat at me inside, I mean literally.. But, I decided to apply for Azoogle, about 5-6 days later I got accepted.

I have been promoting for almost three days now just employing a couple of simple tactics I use with my affiliate marketing style and I've pulled in almost $500... easy.

Now, I'm use to making this kind of money, but this is so easy! I feel like a kid in a candy store.. Kinda like way back when, when I got my first $1000+ check from clickbank.

But anyway, enough rambling... I'm planning on starting an adwords campaign for some higher paying cpa's.. my question is, does anyone do this, and what kind of conversions do you get. I know whenever I see a win a laptop offer, I just leave, but it seems there are other high quality offers I could promote..

What's youf guys' main marketing or traffic generation technique for cpa offers?

Thanks,
Bryan

I thought CPA == Affiliate Marketing? Is one more general than another?

Technically, yes CPA is affiliate marketing.

When I think of affiliate marketing, I mean the old school stuff. Purely driving traffic, finding qualified buyers for merchant products, JV promotions, email marketing, they buy, I get a commission. That's my style of affiliate marketing. Market research, keyword research, PPC campaigns, free traffic generation techniques.. all of that.

When I think of CPA the type of offers you can promote through Azoogle. You don't even have to get these people to buy. And if I've made my living on persuading people to buy products that can cost $97, $127, or more and get 50-75% commission, they I can sure as heck persuade people to put their names and emails in a little box, or to get a free Ebay course by paying 1.95 s/h charge.

Cake!

I always ponder on that too... Clickbooth was my first but never really picked up, just under $100 through leads from my arcade site. Sucks.

I haven't been able to get a single lead on anything on my arcade, half decent click rates but not a single lead. Same with my myspace site...can't even get tagworld and myyearbook to work, people click but they don't sign up.

I can't even get music CPA to work on my music community.

Only time ipods ever worked for me was while spamming myspace users it, but since they fixed the captcha that's completely died for me.

I really thought that TagWorld would work on a myspace site when I tried it out a few days ago, and in the first four click-throughs I had one lead, now some 200 clicks later I've still got 1 lead.

What, do you come home from partying and decide to see what's happening on Earners Forum? Maybe you should try a girlfriend! Only kidding..

CPA campaigns can be highly profitable for people - and utter disasters for others.

It all depends on your site and it's traffic. I've had campaigns that convert 60%.. then again I've had campaigns that converted at 0.0006% :001_rolleyes:

I think I'm just cursed, I'm quite certain that if I took over a website that's successful with CPA ads it would just suddenly stop working without any changes being made to it lol

I mean I take tips from others, people with sites in the same niche, run the same CPA ads that works for them but I get no results. Clicks - yes!, Conversions - no!

You're kind of making the assumption that only fools sign up for CPA campaigns, that's not true at all... and it isn't just newbies that sign up to these offers too. It all comes down to a good pitch and matching a surfer to an offer.

While it often seems like it, CPA networks (like our MaxBounty.com) aren't just filled with free ipod like campaigns which are arguably somewhat deceptive to surfers. There are many CPA campaigns where the surfer gets exactly what he's looking for. Loan offers, 'real' survey websites, trial free-with-shipping deals, auction sign ups, dating sign ups... the list goes on.

There's a big variety to CPA campaigns beyond the simple freebie.

And if I can throw in my two cents, I think it's a great idea to try different things. If you put it all into arcades, for example, what happens if it doesn't work out? The market is up and down and as xboxundone said, different campaigns work differently for different networks. Try, try, try!

Yeah I know that house loan offers would work on a house loan website, but for many sites it's just a fact that nothing works.

I'm at the point where I've spent probably a few hundred hours over the years trying countless offers on different sites without results.
