Hey FatBoy... I think that's a winner idea. Don't limit yourself to Blockbuster though. Incentive traffic will always generate some members who sign up solely for the incentive and have little interest in the product. Blockbuster is a good service, so many of your sign ups will stick, but some will cancel right away. You get paid for the lead either way, but if you get too many cancelled leads, the merchant becomes unhappy and you might get denied from further advertising their campaign.
The best way to run incentive traffic is to lead the surfer to an offer they might want in the first place. Don't limit yourself to just running Blockbuster, give your board member a variety of high paying campaigns to select. Bargain.com, eFax, MobileSidewalk, Entertainment Book, SurveyScout, Beautiful Skin, Seattle Coffee, etc... all pay high CPAs and accept incentive traffic. The more campaign choices you offer your members, the higher the likelihood they'll not only sign up for one of them, but stick to it as well.... making for YOU and YOUR SPONSOR happy with the leads.
