So, this weekend, one of my sites was mentioned as a "cool site of the week" newsletter that goes out to some extremely large number of people who subscribe to this newsletter run by a radio personality who is nationwide US.
My site hadn't been making that much money. I had adsense on it, and it was doing ok. However, when i got the influx of traffic, I had to upgrade to a bigger VPS plan (the site withstood a DIGG frontpage perfectly, but this was at least an order of magnitude more traffic than that)
Anyway, i upgraded to a bigger VPS, and put a "plea" out on the frontpage of the site, directing people to a retail site with an azoogle link and a ringtones site with an azoogle link.
On top of the adsense
On top of the chitika e-minimall i had on the site.
Well, I'll say this. Azoogle came out on top. Adsense made me 2/3 of what azoogle did, approximately, and chitika made me 1/3 of what azoogle made me.
Also, per-click, azoogle beats adsense by a large margin. The problem is getting those clicks. Before i got the huge influx of traffic, i was getting very impatient with azoogle, and i'd only made 1.30 total. However, once I got enough numbers, I had enough people to actually convert some azoogle traffic, and man, it pays off.
Oh, and if you listen to Net Income with Shoemoney, he's always talking about offers that he "tries" -- "just to see how they perform"
I wasn't expecting ringtones to perform well at all, but man, i made some change this weekend. I'm not going to quit my job (hey, i already did quit it to go to grad school). I made enough to buy some decent christmas presents.
And that makes me happy. Thank you, Azoogle.
