I normally promote affiliate products or my own information products.

With all the talk about CPA I decided to give it a try.

In less then 24 hours I invested $50 in AdWords advertising.

1 Ad with about 6 keyword phrases within a campaign that has a high CTR.

My ad got a little over 500 clicks. Of those clicks 391 clicked on a link on my landing page to check out the CPA program offer. This is the only part I am happy about.

My stats at the moment show 0 sales. There is a 30 day cookie so that could change, but if they don't buy within 48-72 hours I doubt they will in 30 days.

There is no AdSense or other offer on my landing page so the visitor has 3 options. Go back, Click on the offer or click on the URL link of my main page on the site. As you can see, most people took the option I wanted them too, but there was no income.

Now, to decide if I should swap out the CPA for an affiliate product or move on. I don't want to waste such a good landing page, but if it doesn't convert....

Michael

That must be pretty discouraging. I suggest you try and find an easier CPA campaign such as an email or zip-only one. It's easier to get higher clickthrus on those.

Are your keyword phrases relevant to the product? Are you promoting somethign as Free when it really isn't. Be up front if the thing costs money tell people even if it is shipping as many people come for somethign free get there realize it isn't and just elave. Also are you targetting the right audience. just a few questions that may help you.

I sell info products with AdWords, so I do know a good deal about how to write an ad and what words to use.

I didn't use free, cheap or any means to express cost.

That I can think of there is 1 word that I could use as a negative qualifier, but otherwise my search phrase was my market.

I'm going to try again with another CPA program. Number like I got are just too good to let go. Just need to get the conversion.
