In the mid to late 90’s nearly all investments made into the internet were done so by large scale investors creating huge Amazon.com type sites that very often ran out of capital and crashed. A lot of this was from lack of marketing. Although the average user could setup their own website, streams of revenue weren’t readily available. These people would have to rely on donations to earn anything from their sites. This was before Pay Pal was available and contextual ads were non-existent. Even setting up a simple online store in those days was extremely difficult.
Around the turn of the millennium getting paid online via credit cards or Pay Pal started to become much easier even as a lot of the megalith sites burst because they could not make enough money to survive. About that time, some groups started up a service known as an “Affiliate Services”. The idea behind an affiliate service was quite simple. One could promote and link to other people’s products and services. A successful sale or other defined action (such as signing up) from one of these would result in a commission. This along with other forms of ad revenue began to inspire the technologically savvy masses. For a mere $10 a month, a very witty and hardworking internet affiliate could bring in thousands of dollars a month if not more. The success stories started filling the internet. They were glorious however chance of a normal affiliate making this much was rather small. One service of note, we will call it “Can’t Join” or CJ for short, led the affiliate service crowd. Their offers were plentiful from CJ but not all of their offers where reachable by the average user. A great portion of their offers needed to be applied for and only allowed the bigger players. This disheartened the startups and many gave up trying to make money.
Around the peak of this disheartening time, a new sleeker faster moving affiliate service started up with an odd name called Azoogle. This service was a little different. All of their offerings could be used by any affiliate. There was no rejection for those after you made it in the Azoogle front door. This gave ALL individuals big and small the potential to earn. The money began to flow to those with the most talent, not the biggest bank roll. Perhaps do partially to Azoogle Ads real-time reporting, affiliates could readily tweak their websites to squeeze out profit.
Where do you fit into this pool of talent? Personally, you’ll find me somewhere towards the bottom. I seem to lack the correct amount of marketing talent or perhaps I am just too inexperienced, to make my million online just yet. I am the underdog and there are thousands or perhaps even millions like me. Are we failures? Simply put… no we are not, not even in the slightest. We are hobbyists and dreamers. Although we don’t currently have dotcom riches, we are not penniless in our attempts. With enough effort and setting attainable goals, it is quite easy to make money off the internet. While our “get rich quick” ideas have not found us, we earn enough to fund new explorations into online marketing and revenue creation. This is thanks to Azoogle. For a mere $8 you can register a site and build it all while planning and plotting for ways to incorporate Azoogle ads and links. Monthly re-occurring costs can be as little as $4 or less.
Azoogle is a little different than most places. It allows for real time reporting and is constantly striving to improve their site and processes (Azoogle 2.0 will be out soon and is exciting a lot of people). Azoogle will even call us little guys with recommendations for increased revenue and just to check in to see how we are doing.
Thanks Azoogle (and Earner’s Forum for publishing this) from all of us underdogs and for giving us the motivation to want to do ever better.
