Is LASIK Saturated?

Hi Guys,

I have recently been accepted for Azoogle and was looking to promote a Lasik offer where the outcome would be for a user to sign up for a consultation.

My research seems to indicate that there is a lot of competition and that competition for PPC keywords in the nich is high. As I am new to this I'd appreciate anyone giving me some points as to whether I am right in my assessment of the competition.

Eg: Using Overture Bid tool I see top bidders paying around $4.50 per click to get traffic. The offer only pays out $6.

However, Ringtones, whihc pay out $10 and above only have PPC bids around $2 and under...and everyone says ringtones is saturated.

Am I right, is LASIK too competitive to buy cheap traffic for...(without going real longtail and finsing cheaper or lower volume traffic)

Of course its tooo saturated

You never know untill you try as new people are even doing ringtones daily and have success and people say it is saturated... the Key is providing the Key to get the signup maybe its a cool landing page or maybe its a niche advertising dempgraphic that hasn't been advertsied to.. you never know untill you try.
I would say if you got some cash to try it with go for it... Worst case you lose some money. *Hint - try to figure out some terms that would appeal to people looking for the surgery but arent as competitive....

Hi out there. I wanted to introduce myself to everyone. I’ve been searching the web for info about lasik and found this board. I’ve never thought about joining a board before, but after reading through some posts, I’m happy I did. I just want to say thanks to everyone for the support you offer here.

problem there is the $6 payout. that is cheeeap. depending on the form of course.

If the payout is made to you after they fill out a short form such as:
Name
Email
Address
state
zip
phone
and maybe a couple do you want eye surgery click boxes.
Thats a fair amount of info for $6.

If you don't get paid unless they tell their life story and schedule an appointment. Then the payout should be more like $20-25.

The $4.50 bid is probably from an actual eye center doing their own ads, not an affiliate. Ringtones and short forms are apples and oranges.

IMHO - Nothing is saturated. There is always room for someone smart and fresh to come in and tackle something. There is a lot of turn over in all of these niches, ppl get bored, get lazy, move on, and/or fail. There is lots of room at the Inn. Just find the right offers to push.

Good info.. I think ultimately it is people get lazy or give up to quickly... but hey i will make more money

Well said, never think that something is saturated, it's important to never stop what you are doing, just experiment with the keywords in my opinion, of course it has a price but how do you think we earners got to where we are? Learning has a price, and I made big mistakes that cost me a lot of money lol.

Don't know muc about the Lasik market, but I assume you can get lower cost KW by using City State Lasik KW phrases. I also assume people search for Lasik Drs near where they live so local search terms should be common.

I was doing arbitrage with LASIK. It was my experience that some of the city/state combo's were even more expensive because the local doctors were paying big bucks for the specific keywords. Manhattan, Dallas and Houston come to mind as three of the top paying keywords for a general LASIK search.
