Actually I think that being an Ebay and Amazon affiliate is a seriously good idea. Many websites can easily incorporate them into their content.

I have joined up and included it in my search engine (currently not in front page - if you do a sample search you will get the option there, eg here is a search result for tennis - http://yourhotsearch.com/E-tennis.html.)

Though, I think I can make some money with ebay affiliates!

You sign up with them and they track all of the clicks that you send them. If these clicks go on to register they pay, if they win auctions they pay you.

Im using eBay affiliate scheme here:

Missing-Auctions.com

The site allows you to search for mis-spelled items on eBay that would normally get overlooked by people using eBay own search facility. It's working, although not earning much at the moment although it's only been running a few days.

I still need to promote heavily . . .

I think general opinion of Amazon's affiliate program has been heading downhill... cookie length being only 1 day doesn't seem to help much. No idea about ebay's program though.

I only heard about this recently, got told a few people were making huge amounts of money from their websites using the program.

I was thinking of registering for the program and setting up a website, but I'm going to wait until I have more revenue so I can invest heavily into affiliate marketing. Plus, I need to learn a little more about affiliate marketing.

Amazon's taken a lot of flak lately because they've been lowering the payouts on electronics, probably the biggest market online. As for eBay, I've used it from time to time but it's hard for me.

It is my understanding that you won't make much profit with ebay/amazon affiliates unless you have massive sites.

Not sure what you mean by 'massive sites' - presumably you mean massive traffic.

If you do then that's the case - like so many ways to make money online - you need lots of traffic.

I've never really made that much with Amazon simply because the payouts are so low.

eBay's payouts on bids aren't great but if you can get people to sign up with eBay the payouts are significantly better. As a result I'll be targeting audiences where the uptake of eBay is relatively low and trying to get them to sign up . . .

Is that eBay will pay you for referrals everytime they buy anything or sell anything?

Agreed Wiv u bro, Unless n until u dnt have massive site, none of dem is usful for any site. Also i guess it depends on the site's content. N da kind of ppl which hits on da site. Like if you give free products (which includes everythin startin frm songs, movies, banners, e books, PC tools etc etc 4 free) on ur site den no one will click ebay/amazon's ad on ur site.

Wat say ppl :detective:

Ebay's base payout is 40% of the fees paid by the seller. They also pay $12 per visitor signup (they have to create a new account and win an auction within 30 days). The payout goes up along with the amount per signup as you make them more money and get more signups.

Oh and they also have a 7-day cookie. You get paid no matter what someone buys as long as they have your cookie.

Overall I love the ebay program and am building myself a few more sites to use it.

I recently read somewhere that a bunch of eBays top affiliates were making over
$ xx,000 per day and that they payout an arseload each month to all there affiliates. Can't remember where that was posted but I know it was.
Anyone else know of this?

I've built an affiliate website for watching the hottest auctions on eBay. Each time someone signs up for an account and/or bids and wins an auction, I get paid!

I can set up my own categories in the admin and customize the site to fit my niche... I've designed about 10 different sites from the 1 main site. I've been doing pretty well with it.

You can check out the website: hottestebayauctions dot com.

You can purchase a copy of the script at: hitprofit dot com

The script is only $30

For a minimal $30 investment anyone can launch one of these sites in about 15 minutes and the site is live. That's all it takes. The site has admin to make it easy to set up categories for your niche and best of all, It's an instant download so you can literally be up and running in 30 minutes. Oh yeah, and it's fun!!!

I personally feel that having your own stuff to sell on ebay is certainly the best way to make money there but why not make a profit off of advertising someone else's product? - especially since those are the items that everyone is bidding on..

I've made like $38 today b/c someone bought something through my site and I got 1/2 the commission.. Not bad.
