One of my sites is a blog that only attracts between 3 and 5 thousand uniques a month. I've got it on Adsense right now which currently only pays out about $0.08 a day... not a good residual by a long shot. My eCPM is rated at $1.09.

Is there a better way to monetize a low traffic site? I'd like to see it earn at least a couple hundred dollars in a month. It takes about 3-4 hours a week to maintain it.

Thanks for any advice!

EDIT: Oh yeah, it uses the Pro Sense blog template which is supposed to have one of the best CTRs so, I don't think it's the design's fault.

I would go with selling affiliate products.
When you blog about a certain topic, make sure you add some affiliate links there.

Sure affiliate products are way to go especially when your traffic is targeted. I do not understand why somebody getting from searching in google to your site should click on Google ads there.

Hmm, point well taken. I just recently switched to some CPA ads... but they don't seem to click that either :s.

Unfortunately, there are just no good Affiliate products in my niche for this site. So I guess I'll have to resort to CJ or Amazon for brand products.

Thanks for your input!

I'd try different variations of google ads. I know it sounds small, but it can really help boost the clicks. One suggestion I have is to make the ads seem as close to content as possible. For example, remove borders, make similar background colors, etc. good luck
